APEX TK is seeking a highly experienced Software Test Engineer to join our team supporting a critical government client. This role will focus on ensuring the quality and reliability of complex space and ground systems. The customer is developing a next generation of space and ground systems architectures.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for major systems, preferably space and ground systems.
- Support planning and execution of requirements verification testing
- Design and implement automated test scripts.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, performance, and security testing.
- Utilize Azure DevOps for test management and reporting.
- Identify and report software testing discrepancies, assess their impacts, and make recommendations on potential workarounds and fixes to ensure requirement verification
- Collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on major systems, preferably space and ground systems.
- Experience using industry standard testing principles for software testing and analysis
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps or similar test management tools.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience testing cloud-based applications.
- Experience with Selenium or similar automated test scripting tools.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
Location: On-site co-location with government client in Chantilly, Virginia.
